While many things have changed in the scale industry over the past several decades, display indicators have largely remained the same. Even today, if you were to walk into any manufacturing facility, food processing plant or veterinary clinic, you would see a scale with a simple digital display that likely had a few buttons to control the functionality of the scale. In the past, one of the suggestions that we often heard from our customers was adding the ability to display color on our display indicators. While this was cost prohibitive for quite some time, with today’s touchscreen technology, we’re finally able to deliver color displays to our customers. Today’s color screens are far more advanced than standard LED or even numeric LCD displays. While most standard digital displays may feature 1” – 2” digits, our touchscreen indicator features a 7” display with an IPS capacitive widescreen display that is ideal for viewing weight information in all types of working environments and lighting situations.

Without color, it can be difficult to convey information that may need additional attention. For example, with touchscreen display indicators, we can show an alarm condition using indicator lights, or tare weights can be shown in a different color from total weight. If you’re handling pharmaceuticals or corrosive materials, these indicators can be extremely important to ensure that everyone is aware of any impending danger.
