The Arlyn Upscale Touch Screen is an Android based tablet loaded with proprietary software that is available as an option for many of our high quality industrial scales. As with most touchscreen devices, a user-friendly design is paramount. Our device allows users to “swipe” and “flick” through menus and weight data as needed.
Because of our easy-to-use menu display, there is little, if any training required to operate our touchscreen display. This will allow your employees to easily master major scale functions without any assistance or training.
Tablets were created to be used by individuals of all skill levels. At Arlyn Scales, we’ve sought out to make our Upscale Touch Screen Indicator accessible to everyone in the scale industry.
- Extremely Accurate
Our customers have grown used to extremely accurate weight readings from our line of industrial scales. This commitment to accuracy continues with our Arlyn Upscale Touch Screen Indicator. Users can expect the same accuracy seen in our traditional display indicator, along with additional features such as zero tracking, stability controls, zero motion detection and software filters that can be defined by the user.
- Water Resistant
Upgrading to a touchscreen display doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to more closely monitor the environment in which your scale is used. In fact, our touchscreen indicator is protected with an injection molded enclosure that is water resistant, along with a rubber gasket to further help seal out water and moisture.
- Rugged Construction
Aside from the water resistant enclosure, we also offer a stainless steel enclosure that helps to further protect the touchscreen unit from corrosive materials.
The unit also comes standard with a stainless steel bracket, which can swivel, offering users the ability to turn the unit to view the display from any angle. Users can mount the display on a variety of surfaces such as a post, wall or desk. The touchscreen display does not need to be directly affixed to the scale.
Not only do many of our customers use our scales in corrosive environments, but also in areas where scales must operate in a wide range of temperatures. Our Arlyn Upscale Touch Screen Indicator supports an operating range of 14°F to 104°F, which meets the needs of the majority of our customers.
- Latest in Touchscreen Technology
Our Arlyn UpScale Touch Screen uses a 7-inch HD IPS capacitive widescreen display, featuring a 5-point touchscreen area and a resolution of 1024 x 600. Using an IPS display allows our customers to view the scale display in all types of lighting conditions and viewing angles.
- Color Touch Screen Technology Offers Additional Flexibility
Because of the technical capabilities of a color touchscreen, users are also able to modify the display colors based on their work environment. For instance, users can change the display to show light on dark or dark on light numbers to increase visibility, depending on working conditions.
Color touchscreens can also more efficiently display information. Users can configure our touchscreen indicator to flash a certain color during an alarm condition, or display different colors for tare weight and total weights, and so on.
- Robust Processor
Unlike a traditional digital display, our touchscreen indicator is a full-fledged tablet computer featuring a robust Quad Core processor with 8GB of storage and 1GB of RAM. With 8GB of storage, users shouldn’t have any capacity issues and the 1GB of RAM will ensure the touchscreen operates efficiently, and is extremely responsive to a user’s touch.
- Battery Capacity
Our touchscreen can operate either connected to a power source or wirelessly for 1-2 hours, after which the unit will need to be charged. This allows customers to use the touchscreen in instances where power outlets may not be readily available.
- Support for Many Different Unit Measurements
Our indicator supports multiple units including grams, pounds, ounces, kilograms, and many others. The Arlyn Touchscreen indicator also supports many tare functions such as tare, keyboard tare, quick tare, instance search and sorting as well as database tare storage.
