Size Options from Arlyn Scales
The standard 4×4 floor scale from Arlyn can accommodate up to 5000lb loads. They work well for professionals who need to weigh a series of heavy pallets, tanks of fuel or other fluid, or industrial totes.
Some professionals use smaller totes, which are used for liquid or granular materials for industries like construction, manufacturing, and many more. Depending on the situation, it may be more efficient and economical to use the 3×3 model. These are well suited to vertical tanks as well. The 3×3 and the 3×4 both come in 2500lb capacity. This provides more sensitivity than the more common 4×4 5000lb capacity model. Keep in mind, the more targeted the span of a scale, the more sensitive readings will be delivered.
If these capacities are inadequate, availability includes 10,000 lbs all the way up to 20,000 lbs. These come with platform sizes of 4×6, 5×5, 5×7, and 6×8. Also, when you work with Arlyn you will have the ability to customize a scale as needed. We build our load sensors out of stainless steel, which makes them exceptionally durable.
These stainless steel load cells absorb shock and capacity overload far better than the aluminum variety that is so common on the market. Stainless steel is less likely to warp or corrode over time as well. That makes it a better material to drive a tank or forklift over. Stainless steel is exceptionally rust resistant as well which makes it last longer whether you are using the scale in a farm, a factory, or anywhere in between.
Over time, the stress of loads scratches, scuffs and erodes the weigh platform of most scales. This is why Arlyn coats its steel weigh platforms with a zinc rich epoxy that slows down the oxidation process. For particularly caustic environments like chemical manufacturers, we offer scales that are coated from the top to the bottom with anti-corrosive material.
